1. Data we collect
The information we process depends on how you use Curious Macro Lens and the Curious Pro services.
This may include your email address, information you submit through the contact form or launch list, account and subscription status, authentication records, onboarding status, email preferences, successful login history, session activity and page-view activity within member dashboards.
We do not intentionally use IP-based member profiling, fingerprinting or session replay as part of the dashboard analytics described in this policy.
2. Why we use your data
- To respond to messages and requests submitted through the website
- To manage the Curious Macro Lens launch list and send updates you have requested
- To create, authenticate and secure Curious Pro accounts
- To provide access to Curious Pro dashboards and member features
- To deliver model emails, Weekly Pulse editions and member notices according to your preferences
- To understand product usage and improve the website and member experience
- To monitor service reliability, prevent abuse and resolve operational issues
- To comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims where necessary
3. Legal bases
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide a service or respond to a request you make, where we have a legitimate interest in operating, improving and securing the website and services, where you have made a communication choice or given consent where required, and where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
4. Service providers
We use specialised providers for hosting, authentication, database infrastructure, email delivery and other technical services needed to operate Curious Macro Lens and Curious Pro.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us and are subject to their own security and data-protection obligations.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on applicable transfer safeguards where required.
5. Retention
We apply retention periods according to the type and purpose of the data.
Dashboard analytics, login events and sessions are generally retained for up to 24 months. Operational and delivery logs are generally retained for up to 48 months. Temporary technical or debugging records, where used, are generally retained for up to 180 days.
Account and subscription records may be retained for longer where necessary to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
Contact messages and launch-list information are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, or until they are no longer required.
Model, performance, trade and editorial history is product-level information and is not automatically deleted as part of member-account retention.
6. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from launch-list communications using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
Curious Pro members can manage optional email preferences from their account where those controls are available.
Subject to applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, and receive certain data in a portable format.
You may lodge a complaint with your competent data-protection authority.
7. Account deletion
Curious Pro members can request account deletion from the Account page.
A 7-day grace period allows you to cancel an accidental request. After that period, the request can be processed without undue delay, subject to information we must retain for legal, security or legitimate administrative reasons.
Personal data that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymised as appropriate.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect account, website and service data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
