The person behind
Curious Macro Lens

I started following markets in 2012, first through crypto and later through gold, silver and macro

Curious Macro Lens grew from that curiosity — and from a growing need to separate market noise from evidence that can actually be tested

WHY CURIOUS MACRO LENS

Markets are complex
The explanation does not have to be

The longer I followed markets, the more obvious it became that there is rarely one indicator, one headline or one explanation that tells the whole story.

Price, macro conditions, positioning, market structure and human behaviour can all matter at the same time. The difficult part is separating useful information from noise.

Curious Macro Lens grew from that challenge. The aim is to make complex market conditions easier to follow without pretending that markets themselves are simple or perfectly predictable.

WHERE IT STARTED

Curiosity came
before the models

I started following markets in 2012, initially through crypto. It was a very different market then, but what caught my attention was not only price. I wanted to understand what was driving it.

2012

It started with crypto

Crypto was the first market that pulled me in deeply enough to start studying price behaviour, cycles and the forces behind large market moves.

THEN

The view became broader

Over time, my attention expanded into gold, silver and the wider macro environment. Interest in individual markets became an interest in how markets connect.

TODAY

Research became more systematic

Years of observation gradually led to a more structured approach: testing ideas, comparing evidence and building models that can be evaluated instead of simply believed.

WHAT CHANGED

Following markets taught me
to trust process over certainty

Markets have a habit of challenging conviction. A view can make sense and still be wrong. A strong model can still experience a difficult period. A convincing narrative can disappear as soon as the data changes.

That is one of the reasons my approach became increasingly systematic. I wanted a clearer separation between what I think, what the evidence shows and what can actually be tested.

The models behind Curious Pro grew from that same idea. They are not there to remove uncertainty. They are there to create a disciplined way of responding to it.

HOW I APPROACH MARKETS

A few principles
have stayed with me

The tools have become more sophisticated over time. The basic mindset has remained surprisingly simple.

Stay curious

Markets change, relationships change and sometimes the evidence changes with them. I try not to become attached to a view simply because it worked before.

Follow the evidence

A strong opinion is never enough on its own. I want the data, the market behaviour and the research process to support the conclusion.

Leave room for uncertainty

Markets do not owe us certainty. Sometimes the most useful conclusion is that the evidence is mixed and patience is the better choice.

A PERSONAL NOTE

I do not expect markets to become predictable. I do believe they can be approached with more structure, more discipline and a little less noise.

That is what I continue to build Curious Macro Lens around.
